5K Sign on Bonus and Relocation Assistance! Eagle River Memorial Hospital & Howard Young Medical Center are currently hiring a Full Time Occupational Therapist! The Occupational Therapist will provide evaluation and therapeutic services to individuals demonstrating perceptual motor, cognitive, physical , social, and behavioral deficits in order to maximize functional living skills. Develop treatment plan appropriate to the individual's condition and age. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and write diagnostic and therapeutic progress reports. Attend patient care conferences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Evaluate inpatients and outpatients in relation to their diagnosis. Evaluations are comprehensive, timely, and documented clearly and concisely. - Set patient goals. - Formulate a treatment plan which is patient focused and outcome relevant to the actual and potential health problems of the patient. - Documentation is complete, accurate, and timely; reflective of department standards. - Therapeutic benefit of treatment is monitored and modified appropriately and documented in the assessment. - Implement department protocol for billing. Daily charges, MA, and Medicaid reports are complete, timely, and accurate. - Organize, adjust, and complete assignments within an appropriate time frame based on changing department needs and patient caseload. - Demonstrate flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling changes. - Initiate, coordinate, and communicate collaborative efforts among health team members to show a comprehensive picture of the patient. (e.g. reports, referrals, discharge planning). - Actively participate in or support multidisciplinary quality improvement activities. - Participate in supervision of occupational therapy assistants. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy form an accredited school. Licensed in the State of Wisconsin or eligible for licensure. National Board Certification or eligible preferred.
