Robert Half Finance & Accounting Grants Accountant in YONKERS, New York
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and support of the Federal Head Start and Early Head Start grants, the Seabury EarlyLearn and the Passage of Hope programs (UMC).
Preparation and submission of yearly budget applications to the Agency for Children and Families (ACF), to the NYC Administration for Children’ Services (ACS), to the NYS Education Department Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), the NYS Children and Adult Food Program (CACFP), and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Recording of general ledger entries (salaries, revenue, bank entries, in-kind expenses, etc.)
Analysis and preparation of monthly and quarterly P&L; reports.
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual expenditure forms as required by the various funding sources.
Preparation of Budget Modification Reports.
Preparation of Year-end reports for audit reviews, i.e. salary reconciliation to general ledger, vacation, and sick day’s accruals, revenue reconciliation, plus miscellaneous audit schedules.
Preparation of salary detail for CFR report.
Preparation of supporting schedules for A-133 report.
Able to attend mandated training and program meetings in NYC.
Monitor monthly status of the Non-Federal agency contribution against the budget and meet with the program management to discuss monthly actual to budget variances.
Other duties as Assigned by CFO.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and statistical data to practical situations.
