Software Configuration Engineer
The Software Configuration Management Engineer will:• Provide SW CM support to development team and Programs Management• Develop scripts to support software buildand deployment cycles• Implement, improve and train the program CM processes and interface with other engineering disciplines to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems• Participate in Build and Deployment Planning• Exercise great attention to detail with respect to managing software development environments and program libraries• Communicate CM status to CM Management and Program Management
This position will require the candidate to work in a dynamic environment in which evolving program priorities dictate individualtask priority. This position will require the candidate to work in a team environment and regularly collaborate with teammembers. The candidate must be comfortable communicating in both oral and written formats. A clearance is not requiredupon hire but the position will require the candidate to obtain and maintain a minimum of a DoD SECRET clearance.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in either software development, software configuration management, or systems administration with at least 2 years of experience in software configuration management including perform build management and release management.• Minimum of 6 years of experience administering a software version control tool. Examples tools include RationalClearCase (preferred), Rational Team Concert, GIT or Subversion in a Unix/Linux environment• Minimum of 3 years of experience with LINUX, Unix, or Windows Shell Scripting.• Ability to work independently while able to support team goals and communicate program activities• B.S. /B.A. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Management InformationSystems, Computer Systems Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Math (or equivalent experience : Bachelor's degree = 8 years equivalent experience)
Desired Skills:• ClearCase Unified Change Management (UCM)• COTS/FOSS control and administration• Defect workflow management and administration• Existing DoD Secret Level (or higher) security clearance• Experience with ANT, Gradle, and/or Jenkins• Awareness of ISO and CMMI CM standards
• Configuration Management Certifications
