Hours: Shift is 6:30am-3:30pm Works every other weekend
Examples of Work
Primary responsibility will be preparation and serving of meals following portion control standards; food service safety and sanitation; operate and clean equipment; tabulate quantities of food products required for menu and production records.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: One year of coursework/training in food preparation and/or cooking and baking experience in a large scale food service operation.
PREFERRED: Food service experience, preferably institutional, commercial or large quantity cooking.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of interpreting menus, special diets prepared by facility, following recipes for preparation of meats, vegetables, soups, salads and baked goods; facility standards and procedures for cleaning dishes, utensils, equipment, etc; food preparation schedules. Ability to tolerate high temperature and high humidity; follow written and oral instructions; communicate effectively with staff; prepare special diets; bend, stoop, lift and carry food items, equipment and supplies. Requires: physical stamina/strength for continual standing, twisting, walking and reaching, with moderate kneeling; ability to lift 20 pounds regulary, work in hot, humid, or cold environments.
