American Express Senior Marketing Manager in Haryana, India

Job Description

This position will be part of the newly formed GNS Central Marketing Organization and will be responsible for leading marketing engagement for our Network partner banks in India and neighboring countries (Srilanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Nepal).This will involve envisioning, planning and driving large impactful programs and capabilities to support new partner/ product launches, active portfolio management to impact spends, activations, sales promotions, driving loyalty, data driven marketing campaigns and driving Emerging Payments capabilities/initiatives. This role requires extensive engagement with internal stakeholders and global teams as well as engage with our Network Bank Partners as consultant to support their marketing teams

Requirements: • Minimum 5-7 years of experience with an MBA from a premier institution • High degree of innovation, knowledge of new developments in the market both inside and beyond the industry. • Working with multiple stakeholders and departments – should be able to carry out tough negotiations and manage relationships at multiple levels both within and outside of Amex • Comfortable working with people from diverse background and cultures and operating on multiple systems and processes across different markets and lines of businesses • Good understanding of Network marketing i.e. how VISA/MC runs campaign in market • Understanding of Customer Life Cycle / Journey in Payment space spanning across Debit/Credit/Prepaid/Merchant/Corporate/Wallets • Have an experience of liaising with agency to develop concept brief to customer communication • Proven track record of driving BTL, ATL Campaigns • Proven track record of managing A&P lines to run campaigns/offers • Possess an understanding of Brand management • Possess an understanding of business drivers and what marketing levers should be pulled to drive business • Possess an understanding of organic/new billings/Card member acquisition/Card member engagement • Must be a good influencer • Sharp execution, and good project management skills • Demonstrated ability to design winning strategies and executable plans. Comfort with ambiguity and "clean sheet of paper" thinking • Excellent presentation skills and analytical skills • Relationship management across the hierarchy

The role initially will report in interim to VP and Head GNS Greater India and eventually to the GNS Central Marketing Org
