Site Reliability Engineer

Key Role:

Work to help define, implement, and operate the technical infrastructure of world-class Web applications. Provide an expert's perspective on how to improve and maintain service-level objectives (SLO) for systems that span multi data centers and reach a global audience. Implement processes, assessments, custom tools, and vendor appliances to help enable peak reliability, stability, and operational engagement for microservice development teams across the country. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for implementing DevSecOps best practices while establishing a continuous delivery pipeline. Assess performance and stability issues in production, lead blameless postmortem retrospectives, develop frameworks that collect and evaluate system telemetry, and write operational runbooks.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with working in a systems engineering role

-1+ years of experience with production in Kubernetes

-1+ years of experience with continuous integration tools, including Jenkins, CircleCi, or Travis

-1+ years of experience in scripting languages, including BASH, Ruby, or Python

-Knowledge of AWS or other Cloud provider

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Cassandra or other distributed data stores

-Knowledge of AWS Lambda

-Knowledge of ​Splunk or other log aggregation utilities

-Knowledge of GoLang

-Knowledge of monitoring and alerting frameworks

-BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
