The Training Clerk reports to the Training Manager.

Key Tasks:

  • Assist the site Training Department with the coordination of training to ensure the needs of the site and company's training mandates are achieved

  • Assist in updating training modules and the development of new training modules

  • Respond to training related questions in consultation with the Training Department when required

  • Scheduling off site courses and training

  • Creating and maintaining databases pertaining to training materials

  • Communicating with the Training Department and site regarding training needs, required training, and resetting passwords

  • Interacting with outside vendors regarding training courses

  • Provide administrative support to the Training Department as required


  • Experience working in a mining/industrial environment is preferred

  • Superior computer skills are required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) and/or a Learning Content Management System (LCMS) would be an asset

  • Strong administrative, filing, and organizational skills are required

  • Demonstrate positive safety behaviour and safety leadership

  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently

  • Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training


  • Must possess a minimum Grade 12 or equivalent

  • A diploma from a recognized business college and several years' experience would be an asset
