Black Box Corporation Accounts Payable Administrator in Lawrence, Pennsylvania

This position will assist in coordinating payment activities related to materials, supplies and services for various U.S. field offices and their vendors. This position has responsibility for routine and non-routine transactions to perform simple to moderate accounting activities relating to the maintenance of the accounts payable function for U.S. field offices.


  • Utilize integrated business software to input, retrieve, display and analyze accounts payable information.

  • Input various Accounts Payable transactions related to the request for disbursements to suppliers.

  • Issuing check payments for disbursements to suppliers.

  • Communication of transaction discrepanciesor concerns to reporting location and/or supervisor.

  • Daily balancing of vouchering.

  • Maintaining vendor records of paid and unpaid invoices.

  • Assist supervisor and other team members as needed.

  • Perform assigned accounting functions of a routine nature to provide management with financial information that can beused in making business decision.


  • Associate‚Äôs degree in business, finance or accounting is preferred.

  • Should have solid PC proficiency and have knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel). Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must have strong organizational skills and is detail oriented. Must perform duties in conformance with accounting, company and departmental policies, standards and procedures.

  • 2-4 years experience working with accounts payable. Prior experience with integrated business software, including3 way PO matching within the ERP (not paper matching only).

  • Microsoft Solomon or SAP Experience Preferred.
