Lead the development of a worldwide material and supplier strategy for the area of stamped parts under consideration of Continental‘s requirements. We are looking for a strategic purchaser within the Global Category stamped parts in the Cluster Metals to the next possible entry date.
As Category Purchaser (m/w) Stamped Parts, at the location Regensburg you will be part of the international purchasing team within the Automotive Group of Continental:
Your tasks will be:
Support the development of a worldwide material and supplier strategy taking into account the requirements of Continental
Support the strategy definition process with cross functional partners, implementation of strategy in all relevant Business Units worldwide
Drive and support pooling activities with external cooperation partners
Realization of an efficient "Stamped Parts Controlling" - ensure in time implementation of correct data in the respective systems, correction of local data and responsibility for monthly controlling
Actively influence the sourcing process by (supplier selection, price negotiations, closure of legally binding contracts, sourcing decisions)
Conduct annual price negotiations, support improvement programs with suppliers, re-design to cost measures as well as other cost reduction programs
University degree in economics, business administration & engineering or mechanical engineering
Several years of professional experience in Purchasing
Experience in the automotive industry requested
Deep knowledge in MS Office programmes and SAP R/3
Business fluent German and English language skills
Conflict solving abilities, assertiveness
