Job Summary

This position provides data-entry and customer service support in the department of Continuing Education. The primary duties include data-entry, answering phones, cashiering, and providing exceptional internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

• Works as an effective team member.

• Verifies and enters data using the University’s PeopleSoft database including:

– Student enrollments

– Student drops

– Student payments

• Answers telephones, gives information to callers, takes messages or transfers calls to appropriate individuals.

• Greets visitors and communicates with customers, employees and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address complaints.

• Researches and resolves customer-related issues in a timely manner.

• Runs and checks audit reports.

• Prepares departmental deposits.

• Completes related administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years data entry experience or equivalency required (1 year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience). Proficiency in the use of data entry equipment and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. The hiring department may require a minimum typing ability.
