JOB SUMMARY:This is a Computer Programmer Analyst II position located in the Information Services Program at the Department of Revenue in Tallahassee. Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: assist with planning & development of integrated systems; understanding of Business Processes and communicates effectively with Business Process owners; analyzes application requirements to provide time and cost estimates; consults with users to define system requirements and specifications; working knowledge of databases and entity relationship designs (ERD) designs; creates and maintains applications for users using a variety of application development software; assist other programmers/analysts with technical questions, issues and code development; creates program, technical and functional specifications; assist in development of integrated systems; consults with programmers/analysts; assist programmers/analysts in troubleshooting program malfunctions; develops test data and scripts for unit and system testing; performs unit and system testing; creates and maintains detailed application/system flow charts and application/system documentation; develops user documentation and training material, and trains lower level programmers/analysts.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming; or
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and one year of experience as described above; or
One year of .Net programming experience using source control (e.g. TFS, Git, Jira).
Experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Completion of a one-year program of study from a vocational/technical school in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or related technical field.
ASP/C# .Net, SQL relational databases, TFS, Visual Studio, MVC, Bootstrap, Reporting (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects)
Experience on projects and/or teams using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban; creating flowcharts using Microsoft Visio or similar tool; developing for hybrid cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS).
Demonstration of willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
