Dow Chemical Production Engineer in United States
Corteva Agriscience™,Agriculture Division ofDowDuPont™has an exciting opportunity for aProduction Engineerat its Michigan Operations site in Midland, Michigan. This engineer will join the Phenoxies Team at an exciting time of growth as the plant continues to stretch to deliver on asset investment to support a growing business plan. They will also be joining the team for the construction, commissioning, and start up of an entirely new process, supporting a highly visible key business platform launch.
TheProduction Engineeracts as a technical resource to assist work teams on daily operations improvements in the areas of quality, cost performance, delivery reliability and full participation with Environmental, Health and Safety. Apply technical skills within the production units to optimize plant operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Understands all applicable process technology, equipment and control technology.
Work with plant personnel to optimize operations, meet Business and plant goals (production, cost, quality).
Participates in advanced troubleshooting and coaches others to learn these skills.
Implements best practices in engineering in order to optimize operations.
Attain a full understanding of Dow's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures with the ability to translate them to implementation in the plant.
Lead operations' drive to zero (zero injuries and zero unplanned events).
Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) and specific Operating Discipline requirements are in place.
Understands and applies skills and knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology to maximize plant asset utilization and produce low cost, quality products.
Communicates technical information and issues to plant personnel, technology or expertise centers.
Participates on and leads teams in his/her area of accountability.
Be a strong, active, and positive influential leader within the team driving results.
Diagnoses and documents the root causes of asset utilization (AU) losses in the globally supported AU tool
Works with Plant Process Control Coordination Role to ensure process control is optimized in the facility.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
Three years manufacturing experience is required.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Chemical Engineering background/degree is preferred.
Experience in a chemical manufacturing facility is highly desired.
